Mclntire, Lani, composer, conductor, arranger, singer, guitarist, b. Hono­lulu, Hawaii, Dec. 15, 1904; d. New York, N.Y., June 17, 1951. ASCAP 1940. Educ: Coll. of Hawaii; on graduation entered U.S. Navy band. Mastered Hawaiian instruments, be­came professional singer and master or ceremonies with own orchestra. Scored early motion pictures in Hol­lywood then became entertainer in night clubs, hotel, and in radio. Ap­peared in motion picture Waiktki Wedding. Mack, Andrew, composer, author, singer, actor; b. Boston, Mass., July 25, 1863; d. Bayside, N.Y., May 21, 1931. ASCAP 1914 (charter mem­ber). Educ: Eliot St. Public School, Boston. At thirteen entered vaude­ville under name of Williams. First legitimate starring play Myles Aroon 1895; also in The Rebel; Tom Moore; and Arrah-na-Pogue for fifteen years. Toured Australia 1905 and 1907. On vaudeville circuits for many years. In Abie's Irish Rose 1926-31.
